Throughput Journal is a trade publication about warehouse operations: what moves through a building, how fast, at what cost per unit, and what it takes to change any of those three.
Who reads this
Site and operations managers, continuous improvement leads, systems owners and 3PL operations teams. The people who get asked why cost per unit went up, and are expected to have the answer by Thursday.
How we treat numbers
Rates come with the operation type and the period. Payback claims come with their assumptions — volume, shifts, labour rate — because that is where the payback actually lives. Vendor figures are identified as vendor figures in the sentence, not in a note underneath.
Who publishes it
Commercially funded. We publish our own reporting and take paid partner content from companies in warehousing, automation, software and freight. Stated openly, because a publication that hides its funding has already told you something.
Payment does not reach editorial judgement. Partner content is labelled wherever it appears, excluded from the editorial feed, and its outbound links carry rel="sponsored". The advertising disclosure and the editorial policy set out how.
How the work is produced
Research and drafting software, AI included, is used in production. A person edits everything before publication and the publication is accountable for it. Where an article depends on a specific source, it is linked.
