Throughput Journal carries advertising and paid partner content. This page sets out the labelling in full, so the difference between our reporting and a paid placement is never left to the reader to infer.
Marking of paid content
- A Partner content label on the article and on every card linking to it.
- A disclosure box at the top naming the company that paid, where they have agreed to be named.
- Excluded from the editorial feed and from RSS.
- Outbound links marked
rel="sponsored nofollow"in software rather than by editorial habit, so they are never read as an endorsement by a search engine.
What we accept
Partner content from companies in warehousing, automation, supply chain software, fulfilment and freight. Held to the same accuracy and usefulness standard as editorial: a reader of this publication has to plausibly want it.
What we decline
- Material outside this publication’s scope.
- Gambling and casino, adult content, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and CBD, cryptocurrency speculation, payday and other high-cost lending.
- Throughput, savings or safety claims we cannot verify.
- Inserting commercial references into published articles.
- Presenting commercial material as independent editorial, or removing any of the labelling above.
Funding
Throughput Journal is funded by advertising and paid partner content. It is stated here because a reader should know how a publication pays for itself. The editorial policy describes the separation.
